Due to the tragic events in Ukraine, Leopolis Grand Prix will not be held this year!

We regret to inform you that those disturbing events in the Eastern part of Ukraine have prompted us to take not an easy but important decision.

The Leopolis Grand Prix Organizing Committee has decided not to hold this festival for this year.

In its turn, a part of costs that had to be spent for festival organization will be transferred to purchase outfit for Ukrainian soldiers who go to fight in the East. Besides, the retro cars exposition will be displayed during the day on Saturday, June 28 on Rynok Square. Boxes for money will be placed near each car so that everyone who wishes can join and help our soldiers.

The occurred situation slightly reminds the festival history in the 30’s of 20th century when Leopolis Grand Prix was cancelled due to social and economic problems. The festival was not held for the following years. This is the main reason why the organizing members have decided to withhold this year’s event in order not to repeat the history. 

We realize that there are another challenges in front of us which we need to overcome first. First of all, we want the image of Lviv to be smiling and safe for all guests of our city. And we do believe that we will organize the festival next year which will visit more guests from Ukraine and abroad.

We strongly call all car fans and car clubs, which had to come for the festival, to support our initiative and join to gather money for the Ukrainian army. Having united our efforts, we can really do something good.
