He has been brewing beer since 14 years old and has become a real master! Nowadays Olivier Huens arrived in Lviv to brew dark stout beer. Connoisseurs of real beer will get a unique opportunity to watch the brewing process at the stage of the Beer Theatre “Pravda”.

On Saturday, January 17, at the Beer Theatre “Pravda” the brewer of 12 years of experience will show how to make stout – dark beer that combines coffee and chocolate aroma in its taste. 

Olivier Huens is the brewer at Brasserie de la Senne, a Belgian brewery, who has been keen on brewing beer since his young age. When he was 16 he built his first making beer installation.

He went to the university to become a bioengineer, worked at Аchouffe Вrewery as a chief brewer. 

Olivier Huens likes to experiment on yeast bacteria. He has worked out many new recipes. “In 2013 I started working at “Brasserie de la Senne”. In a year we increased production over 50% and I’m proud to be a part of such project. Owing to this work I got to know about Ukraine and “!FEST”, - says Olivier.

Beer making starts at 15:00 and will last for 8-9 hours and guests can taste it on February 6 at the Beer Theatre “Pravda”, Rynok Square, 32.

Dark stout has 6,2% volume. Traditionally, roasted malt is added during preparation. This beer is less sparkling in comparison with classic light types and has cream foam.
